Fast, fun and affordable. That's what we were chasing in the designing process of the Nerd bikes family. And basing on grinning faces of Szymon and David Godziek - we got it all right! Just check the video!
The range includes the Nerd Lite - an aggressive 29” new-school trail bike with 120mm frame travel and modern geometry. An efficient tool for hammering climbs (77 seat tube angle that puts the rider in the front and prevents the front wheel from popping up), but it turns into a rowdy rascal when you point it the other way (long reach and 67° head tube angle let you fly down the most of the trails out there). With a sturdy alloy construction, solid, forged rocker, three oversized bearings in the main pivot, the Nerd Lite is fast, fun and will last.
The Nerd Lite comes in 2 price point and specification levels: the Nerd Lite 1 with Fox suspension (130mm fork travel), 12 speed GX eagle drivetrain and lightweight wheels, and the Nerd Lite 2 with fork and rear shock from Manitou (also 130mm fork travel) and 12 speed NX eagle drivetrain.
On the other side of the spectrum you will find the Nerd HD - a long travel machine for enduro and bike parks. The mullet 29” and 27.5” wheel setup gives the rider the best of both worlds for this type of bike. The front rolls over stuff with ease but the smaller rear wheel makes it easy to throw the bike around. It also means we could squeeze in a monster 180mm of rear travel.
The frame paired with beefy 160mm fork from X-Fusion makes the Nerd HD a perfect package for riders on a budget looking for a gravity focused all-rounder. Spot on geometry (64° head tube angle and 76°) boosts your confidence on rowdy descents and jumps, but still lets you ride up the hill comfortably, if the bike park chairlift is busy or shut.
